Instructior: Darrel Parks

Topic:  Darrell Parks will be discussing post tensioning design and application. Specifically slab on grade applications that can be used for tennis courts, pickleball courts and industrial slabs. How PT is used and engineered. Specific projects and applications will be discussed.

Bio:  Darrell Parks was originally from the state of Washington and graduated from Washington State University with a degree in construction management.

The PT company Darrell chartered in 1971 is still in operation 51 years later. Darrell has been involved in jobs from Seattle to New York City as well as out of the US.

The Projects that Darrell has been involved in were hi rise condos, parking garages, bridges and specialty structural reinforcement for wood frame & structural steel frame buildings.

Projects for slab on grade have been super flat industrial floors, distribution centers (one was a million square feet in St Louis), automated rack retrieval, freezer slabs & many tennis courts.

Darrell was also involved in the PT cable stay bridge over I-75 in downtown Detroit.
